How to create a Facebook Page

To create a Facebook Page, you first need a personal Facebook account. If you don’t have one, visit Facebook to sign up.

Step 1: Choose your Page type

There are now two ways to create a Facebook Page:

  1. Via the Pages menu - click Pages in the sidebar and follow the setup prompts.
  2. Through Meta for Business (formerly Facebook Business Suite) - create a Business Page.

Using Meta for Business allows you to manage a business Instagram account and advertising campaigns from one dashboard.

Step 2: Set up your Page

Facebook will guide you through the setup process, including:

  • Adding your business name, category and description.
  • Uploading a logo and cover image.
  • Setting up contact details and operating hours.
  • Customising your call-to-action button (e.g. Contact Us, Shop Now).

Step 3: Optimise your Page

Once created, enhance your Page by:

  • Posting regularly to engage followers.
  • Using Facebook Insights to track performance.
  • Responding to messages and comments to build trust.
  • Linking Instagram for cross-platform marketing.
