About UsWho We Are

Who are We?

WebSolutionZ is a Melbourne-based website development company. Our focus is website and social media solutions for small business, schools and local community organisations.

We create clean, usable and fast-loading websites using Joomla!® Content Management System (CMS), to help you get the right message across to your target audience.

Why do you need a website?

  • Today more than ever, people are using the Internet to find out the things they need to know, and to do the things they need to do.
  • No matter the size of your business, your website is the most powerful AND most cost-effective direct marketing tool that you can have.
  • A website will allow you greater exposure, not just locally but nationally and even internationally!
  • A professionally designed and implemented website, particulary one with an Australian domain name, will help establish credibility.
  • A website offers more convenient contact with your customers and clients, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Why should you get a CMS website?

  • You don't want to pay to change the content on your website. Joomla! websites allow you to do it yourself, quickly and easily.
  • You want to be able to add features such as a photo gallery, file download manager, newsletter, member logins, forum, blog, shopping cart or booking system, in a cost-effective way, in your own time. Joomla! is scalable and additional features can be added at a time that suits you.
  • You don't want to spend a fortune on software (some websites cost tens of thousands of dollars!). While many of the third-party components that plug in to Joomla! are commercial, the core Joomla! software is open-source software and is therefore free to download and install.

How We Work

WebSolutionZ offers a simple, no-fuss approach to meeting your online needs:

  1. First, we'll send you a Needs Assessment form to fill in. Sounds complex but it's not! All it does is ask you a set of basic questions so we can gain a better understanding of your requirements.

  2. Next, we'll prepare and submit a quotation - in plain English. This will include a full outline of all tasks to be performed, pricing, approximate timelines and any other suggestions that may be relevant.

Up to this point, there is no charge to you, and no obligation.

About Nicky

In my professional life I've worked in both management and technical IT roles for small, medium and large organisations, across a wide array of industries. I've also run a couple of small businesses of my own.

I started working in IT in 1993, discovered the Internet shortly after and wrote my first HTML website in a text editor in 1995 for fun (yes, geeky!). I continued to dabble with the web and HTML/CSS while my IT career progressed, until one day in 2005 when I had an idea and needed something more powerful, and discovered Mambo and then Joomla!. I've been using Joomla! professionally since the early 1.0x days, and I still love experimenting with all the different things it can do.

2016 was a busy and productive year for me. I completed a degree in Internet Communications via Curtin University and Open Universities Australia, which has allowed me to expand my skillset to include social media and small business marketing. I also gained official Joomla! Certification, the first person in Australia to do so.
